  • Tomorrow

The joys and sorrows I focused on took so much of my energy, there was little time left to think about, let alone work on, my spiritual growth.

To progress, one must acknowledge, accept and then release those joys and sorrows. Not, as in my case, stew in them.

Too busy focused on my self-chosen goals (as opposed to Guided goals which come from the Higher Self), I never analysed my so-called sorrows. To start with, what exactly are they?

    • Old hurts
    • Resentments
    • Guilt
    • Shame
    • Embarrassment
    • Fear
    • Anger

These are just the predominant ones. There are plenty others festering in the background of the mind, growing in strength each time I suppress them or allow myself to feel them without giving them appropriate expression.

Worse still, I express them in an angry outburst, sometimes to the wrong people. Inevitably, these tantrums will be ignored, leaving me feeling unheard and hurt.

The emotional issues went from bad to ugly. I had no idea I needed to deal with them in a healthy way. I mean, was there a healthy way to manage emotions? Don’t they just erupt and take over one’s rational mind whenever they feel like it?

Well, an urgent need was thrust upon me in the form of very challenging circumstances involving very difficult individuals.

Now I had to face my inner demons, take full responsibility for my situation and analyse my feelings. Not a comfortable experience to go through.

However, Once I set my mind to liberating myself from the endless misery of emotional turmoil, the tools and resources to enable me to do so miraculously came into my life. That was yet another example of how the Universe answers the call when we make the right choices.

Deep healing modalities such as the aptly named Liberating Touch (developed by Ranjana and Eddie Appoo) are very new and unique. Only a handful of people around the globe are currently authorised to practice it.

I was blessed to meet one such individual who has been instrumental in my letting go journey.

Sometimes I feel I have wasted a lot of time by not starting the healing process sooner, thinking I’ll do it tomorrow, leading to many more tomorrows. Ultimately one realises it is Divine Timing that decides when, where and how the healing will happen, and I am deeply grateful to the Divine Intelligence that is orchestrating this marvellous process.
