  • Where it began

    I want, I want, I want… I want so many things.

Usually, I get them. But then I want other things I don’t have. I end up getting some of those things, but soon discover, I didn’t really want them at all, or they didn’t do what I thought they would.

Emotionally, mentally, I am still left dissatisfied.

    Have you experienced that?

No matter what you have, what you get, there is still something within that is dissatisfied, unresolved, incomplete?

Well, that is where I was. On paper, I had a great job with a great company and a great remuneration package.

I had a good social life (when I wasn’t working sixteen-hour days, or travelling on a plane, train or taxi somewhere on the globe). I even had attractive, super health conscious men in my life.

I bought a great place to live in a trendy neighbourhood, drove a flashy BMW and life was good. On paper.

Inside however, I was mentally and emotionally exhausted from always having to be “on top of my game”, or that other favourite chestnut, “on top form”.

The nature of corporate life meant there was constant comparison, competition and inherent selfishness in behaviours, including my own.

At that time, I wasn’t even conscious of this. It was just a part of work life. And it was highly destructive.

That was my prompt to seek something different.
